The Osborne Head and Neck Foundation traveled to Ethiopia in January 2016 to provide medical and surgical services to the underserved people of Addis Ababa.
Our team of volunteers worked for 10 days, performing head and neck surgeries, providing medical care, upgrading the current hospital conditions, educating the local physicians, and caring for children in a nearby orphanage. Patients had been waiting for years for head and neck surgeons to take care of them, but there were no ENT surgeons to help.
We were able to send:
· 5 Board certified ENT surgeons;
· 2 Physician assistants;
· 1 Anesthesia provider; and
· A full compliment of nursing, scrub techs, medical
assistants, and administrative staff.
All donations went towards medical supplies and equipment for surgery. Your tax deductible donation allowed us to help more people, provide comfort, and administer pain relief to those who would otherwise have gone without care.
We, as well as our patients, greatly appreciate your generosity.
